My good friend and ex-coworker, Eddie, took a trip to LA where I spent an entire Monday with him. After having brunch on the beach, I gave him a little run-down on my S14 which he has been dying to see. His loaner car, on the other hand, was a $250,000 Aston Marton DB11 V8 Twin Turbo.
Our plan was to visit The Berrics, but I pointed out that Dom Torreto’s house was on the way. Being the car nerds we are, we swung our way over to the famous Fast & Furious house and got some beverages down the street at Bob’s Market. Withing the 20 minutes we spent there, over 10 other petrol heads drove by to get their glance.
Next stop: The Berrics. Surprisingly, this was my first time at the renowned exclusive skatepark. While I’m sure visiting was always only a Slack DM away, I guess I just wanted the occasion to happen on its own. Here I was able to meet some of the guys from the office and most importantly, skate the park. The place was a ghost town which just meant more space for me to skate. I got a clip too!
Lastly, we ended the day off by driving to Fairfax where I coincidentally ran into my up-and-coming photographer buddy, Mike, and took the Aston Martin for a drive.
